Seattle, WA -- Kellie joins the University of Washington Women's Water Polo Club as a first year graduate student studying Mathematics and is currently the team's starting 2-meter defender.
She joins the program from Northeast Division perennial Champions, Dartmouth College, where she played on the club team all four years.
"Every practice Kellie is giving it everything she's got," says Assistant Head Coach, Gregory Mercer. "Whether it's leading conditioning, running the defense or going to outside practices to continue honing her skills, Kellie is leading the pack with her enthusiasm, strong work ethic and water polo accumen."
Her work ethic and skills were on full display at the Seattle Otters International Tournament held February 7-8, 2016 where she shut down opposing 2-meter centers all weekend long. In addition, she finished the tournament with 4 steals, 3 ejections earned, only 2 ejections against, 2 goals and 3 assists.
MacPhee's skills will be needed again soon as the Huskies get ready for the first Northwest Conference Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) tournament of the year at Portland State, February 27-28th.
